Although Ljubljana is the capital city of Slovenia it certainly isn’t the most effective and passenger friendly when it comes to public transportation,. That being said, we have put together some quick recommendations about transportation in Ljubljana during your Stag weekend. This way you don’t end up wasting any precious time and money instead of having fun!
AIRPORT TRANSFER
The best way to travel from Brnik airport to Ljubljana city centre is by van or mini bus depending on the size of your group. If you’re traveling alone, taxi might be the best option. It’s a 25-30 minute drive and there are quite a few reliable services with affordable prices. There is however no public transportation offered.
If you’re looking for something special to make a remarkable entry, consider hiring a limo.
LIMOUSINE
As we mentioned, Ljubljana is a small city. We believe your accommodation will be located somewhere in the city centre, therefore you will be walking distance or a 5-10 minute drive from all the clubs . A limousine rental offers a drop off in front of your final club location and includes an hour of driving through the city – which means an hour of partying in the limo! TAXI SERVICE
Taxis in Ljubljana are cheap and because the traveling distances are usually very short it won’t cost you much to use the service . Most of them are safe and affordable but please be cautious when getting into the BMWs around the city centre, as they will charge you up to 5 times more than the regular rate! ACTIVITIES OUTSIDE OF LJUBLJANA
You will also most likely decide to do an activity outside the city (if not, your loss!). The best way to get to the activity locations is again by van or minibus. Rafting, skiing/snowboarding, kayaking, canyoning and zip lining are the furthest locations from the city centre and are all within a 2-hour drive.
